This summer give yourself a wonderful time out with an all day meditation Nyinthun and teaching with Shastri Marita McLaughlin. Please join us for the day. We will engage with guided, sitting and walking meditations, contemplations and discussions, all in service of wondering why bother to meditate.

"Everyday I start the day by reading local and global news.  I want to feel and know the world I am benefiting from. Sometimes I’m delighted to learn of those who are attempting compromise. Other times I’m saddened by those entrenched in opposing ideas.  And many times, I’m simply left wondering…..

Then I meditate, opening to the environment of my body and mind. Most often, meditation allows me to feel ready for the day’s challenges. At times, meditation allows me to experience the interconnectedness of my life with others.  Frequently, meditation allows me to feel compassion for how we all struggle.  These are just some of the motivations for why I bother to meditate. At the end of the day, there’s no one else’s life I would rather be living."
